Equitana Farms Stables is a family owned and operated horse boarding facility. We are conveniently located in Lacombe, LA between Mandeville and Slidell about one mile south of Interstate 12. Our stables have been up and running since about January of 2004 and we are proud to say that we have made a lot of progress since then.
The barn itself consists of 17 12'X 12' stalls, each with electrical outlets, ceiling fan, heat lamp and light, swing out feeders, sliding stall doors and saddle rack. The center isle of the barn is 16' wide, lighted, and concrete. There are 2 spacious tack rooms, indoor wash rack with hot and cold water, and a recently added outdoor wash rack. In addition, there is a CLEAN bathroom, an air conditioned room for cooling off in the summer time equipped with a small refrigerator and our office. We have also just recently added a hay and shavings barn and an additional tack room. Right next to the barn is our 120'X200' arena. We currently have 4-6 acres of pasture and are working on clearing more acreage.
Our families have put their hearts and souls into everything that we have done out here and we continue to work hard to make this a safe haven and fun place for horses and families alike. We love what we do and our wish is to raise our children in a great, Christian environment. My husband and I now have two beautiful little girls, Graci Mae and Mackenzie Nicole. Graci turned two in October and Mackie is going to be five months old on November 15th. We are looking forward to raising our children here where they can learn responsibility and love for the horses. Working with horses has always been my dream ever since I can remember and my wonderful husband has been dragged along for the ride. I certainly couldn't do it without him. Our families, Mommee, Papa Tim, Lou Lou, Papa Joe, sisters and brothers, have all been incredible in getting this place going and I could never be thankful enough for all their many blessings. We thank God so much for keeping us safe and blessing our efforts. We have come a long way and can't wait to see what the future holds. God Bless and come by and see us!!
